The successful overseas delivery of an LPG semi-trailer manufactured by CSCTRUCK China Tank Truck marks another important milestone in the company’s growing presence across the African energy logistics market. This latest shipment, destined for Zambia, will play a vital role in strengthening the nation’s liquefied petroleum gas transportation network and supporting the expansion of cleaner energy infrastructure.
The newly exported LPG semi-trailer features a tank capacity of 58 cubic meters and has been engineered in accordance with international pressure vessel manufacturing standards. Constructed using high-strength alloy steel, the trailer incorporates advanced submerged arc welding technology, multi-layer anti-corrosion treatment, emergency shut-off systems, and precision safety valves to ensure reliable performance during long-distance LPG transportation. Zambia regulates bulk LPG road transport under standards such as ZS 429 Part 4, covering design, inspection, and operational safety for LPG tank vehicles.
Before shipment, the unit completed a comprehensive series of factory acceptance tests, including hydrostatic pressure testing, airtightness inspection, radiographic weld examination, axle alignment verification, and safety system calibration. CSCTRUCK China Tank Truck’s engineering team also customized the trailer configuration to suit Zambia’s operational conditions, including inter-city bulk gas distribution routes connecting major commercial centers such as Lusaka, Ndola, and Copperbelt industrial zones, where LPG demand continues to expand. Zambia already operates an active LPG distribution network serving both industrial and domestic users.
The logistics process involved secure loading at CSCTRUCK China Tank Truck’s production base in China, port handling, ocean transportation, customs documentation, and coordinated inland delivery to the customer in Zambia. According to publicly available CSCTRUCK China Tank Truck delivery records, the company completed a similar 58m³ LPG semi-trailer delivery to Zambia in 2025, demonstrating continued cooperation with local energy partners.
